Jersey Jack Pinball announces an Avatar: The Battle For Pandora pinball machine that “glows in the dark”
JoBlo covered Jersey Jack Pinball’s Avatar: The Battle for Pandora reveal ahead of the 2024 Chicago Pinball Expo, highlighting a feature not emphasized as heavily elsewhere: the playfield’s glow-in-the-dark elements, which illuminate under blacklight during gameplay. The piece confirmed the same Limited Edition (5,000 units) and Collector’s Edition (1,000 units) structure as JJP’s official announcement, with actor Stephen Lang reprising his Colonel Quaritch role through custom voice work and movie scenes from both Avatar films. The outlet’s take leaned skeptical on commercial earning potential for $12,000+ collector-grade machines on location, even while praising the game’s depth and design. JJP shipped Avatar in Limited Edition (5,000 units, $12,000) and Collector’s Edition (1,000 units, $15,000) trims — both still part of the current lineup of premium pinball machines....
